Hi, everyone, I’m Andrew, He/him pronouns. I’m a TTRPG, science, video game, and music (esp. the navel-gazing side of the metal spectrum) nerd. Tired millennial with entirely too much on my plate. Yet another case of “you’ll get more conservative when you get older” turning out to be hilariously wrong, so bigots of any variety can fuck all the way off. Occasional toots i norsk (fordi jeg er misunnelig på alle med et fungerende helsesystem).

I have a løngstanding rule that if yøu replace a perfectly gøød O with the Scandinavian Ø to seem møre trve cvlt, I will ønly ever prønøunce yøur band ør søng name precisely as written. Pøur øne øut før the Scandinavians whøse eyes bled frøm reading this pøst. For those using a screen reader, I’ll nest a version of this that doesn’t replace all of the o’s with ø’s in the alt text. #norsktut (adjacent) #metal

So #NewHolland has a line of beers marketed as Dragon’s Milk. They’re all bourbon barrel aged, and the most widely distributed seems to be the stout. As a biiiig fan of the stout, when I saw others, I picked up a mix pack. Finishing the golden ale now, and if you’ve ever wanted a pilsner that has its refreshing crispness wrecked by someone dumping a bunch of simple syrup into your beer, have I ever got the beer for you. What the hell happened here? The stout is fantastic though, red TBD.

Celebrating Memorial Day weekend with an extended getaway to the most expensive hotel in town with my wife: the local hospital. She’s recovering well from the surgery, but if anyone was wondering, I have it on good authority that gallstone induced pancreatitis is a real -12 out of 10 experience and comes highly recommended if your goal is to do what I assume the youths would call painmaxing.

So with all the stress the past week or so, I’ve rediscovered the genre of YouTube that constitutes my comfort watching: the particularly natury side of paludarium building. The idea of someone creating a self contained ecosystem because it’s beautiful and/or their animals deserve the best environment they can be given is really soothing for me, plus it scratches some of that carpentry/furniture building itch.
