After updating to systemd 260 on #gnomeos, we had a few hiccups with GNOME Software and sysupdate. The main issue being the system getting stuck to a version and never telling the user there is a newer version available. If you are using GNOME OS, you should check if the version is at least &quot;nightly.1034493&quot; (Settings -&gt; System -&gt; About -&gt; Operating System Build). #gnomeos has switched to systemd-confext to handle /etc. The migration is automatic so you should not notice anything. But if you encounter issues booting or logging in, just ask on the Matrix channel. Or ask me.

#GNOMEOS finally has a system extension with h.264/h.265 codecs and drivers (the same as Flatpak&#39;s GL.default extra and codecs-extra extensions combined) This will make them available to non-Flatpak applications, like GNOME Shell which needs it for efficient screen recording. It also finally fixes missing thumbnails in Nautilus. This was a feature requested by many of our users. `updatectl enable --now codecs-extra`
