@lowqualityfacts@mstdn.social except our government hasn't stopped making pennies, and that's what our currency is called, unlike you Americans who insist on calling several of your coins odd names that don't directly tell you what they are (penny for central, dime for ...?) When my brother moved there years ago, he got quite confused that the dime doesn't even say ON IT what it's actually worth - he has to ask someone else.
