  Of the most unhinged useless features Apple could work on, the "AI will reset your passwords" thing they are putting into iCloud Keychain has to be at the top of the list. I wouldn't ever recommend to ANYONE to run that, and from what I'm hearing, it doesn't even work all that well to begin with (shocker). So glad I use KeePass instead...

  If I were Microsoft, I'd be sweating it right now.   macOS patches way too slow. The check takes forever, the download takes forever, and the reboot is unnecessarily complicated and long to stand back up. Linux and even Windows go so much faster in comparison.

  I love when a vulnerability scan (cough TENABLE cough) is just outright belligerently false on a scan. Not only is the vulnerability 5+ years old, the fix is known and documented, but Nessus be like "there is no fix for this" um excuse me, solved problem half a decade ago. Fix your database...

  Trying to reload my balance for a $highwaytolltransponderthinghere and the site seemingly keeps blocking my system from accessing it after logging in. First off, the page is incredibly slow to even log in and work (a great confidence booster for having to input PCI), and seemingly as a reward for waiting for the page to load, I get some idiotically configured IDS going "we blocked you for security reasons" - I think it's blanket blocking Linux OSes and security forks of Firefox lik...

  Does Apple even know how to host email? iCloud Mail - if you create inbox rules in iCloud for the web, the rules are only viewable and editable there - they don't even appear in Mail.app on macOS! Let alone Thunderbird or anywhere else. That is insane.

  I'm a few months late to this but I saw a little article that Donald Fagen has quietly retired. That's fine, but I'm just bittersweet about it, right as I catch up on all his solo work along with the rest of Steely Dan's stuff, he's winding down. At least he seems to be making a few silly appearances on Amy Helm's Instagram now though, which is amusing.

  Was reminded of a friend who back in the 2000s had a high school teacher who got really mad at their class for sneakily playing games like CS/WoW/etc on the computers in the classroom (it was an ATC class), telling students to stop playing "Zaxxon Blood and Guts Warrior" and now I wonder if that was ever an actual game

  Coding on your own, by hand, organically, is like riding a bicycle. It engages and enriches you mentally and physically, has no impact on the environment, and is what everyone should strive to do. Coding with AI is like drunk driving a cybertruck while hucking half drank beer cans out a window, screaming obscenities and barely knowing where you are or what you are doing.
