  I’m now officially on fiber internet! Only had to fix the internal IP address of my server and the hostname resolution on my router and the setting for my local DNS on my router after the switch. Everything else went smoothly. #selfhosting #server #internet #fiber #dns

  I’m using my iPhone without a case and I managed to drop it for the first time today on a stone ground. It took it pretty well and got away with some minor scratches to the metal frame on the right side and nothing else even though it landed face first on the ground. The display is still flawless, that new Ceramic Shield glass is really great. I’m still annoyed it happened to me because I still don’t understand how it just fell out of my hand when I grabbed it from the table. #iPhone #iphone17...

  I‘m convinced that my cat defended me from a demon or ghost or some other inter dimensional being tonight. When I got to bed shortly after 1 am I turned off the lights and he jumped onto my bed and after a while I felt his body shifting or he let himself fall over and suddenly hissed at something in the dark and was immediately quiet after and lied down beside me.   I finally managed to configure Postfix correctly as my SMTP on my home server. Now I can use it to send email notifications for Nextcloud, Watchtower and Uptime Kuma (and can ditch Discord for that purpose) #selfhosting #postfix #discord #homeserver #smtp

  After my mouse hiccups yesterday I noticed that I never installed OpenRazer. Now that it is installed everything seems to be working fine and the USB device doesn’t disconnect constantly. That definitely saves me money for now as I don’t have to buy a new one.
