  I’ve been reading Finkelstein’s book about Gaza, and it’s really struck me pretty hard how the major difference between the situation 20 years ago and now is how the media landscape has changed. It’s pretty clear to me that all the bluster about children on social media and ID verification is just an attempt to return to those days.

  You may not believe in classes, but that doesn’t negate their existence. We will continue to support AES states (current and those sadly no longer extant). Go advocate for utopianism somewhere else.

  Necessary, yes. Furthering our knowledge of the cosmos is a worthwhile pursuit for its own sake. That being said, the sudden focus on NASA is pure political distraction, a clumsy attempt to foment nationalism that isn’t going to be as effective as its architects were hoping.
