While cleared counselors exist, many leaders don’t know how to get their people access to them.

I’m gonna need everyone in security to internalize this. Hell, my local country fair (y’know, the place where you can submit your veggies to go on display and get judged and get ribbons and shit) is requiring online registration. Guess how many people that’s locking out? How many of the people whose submissions are what keep the exhibitions going don’t have emails or cell phones? If your solution doesn’t work for my friend who can only be reached via landline phone or mail, it doesn’t work...

And this is why just emailing my support rep is a thing.

Apropos of nothing whatsoever, it occurs to me that telling an AI agent its limits is, at best, a policy control. It is absolutely not a technical control. And treating policy controls like technical controls demonstrates a fundamental understanding of risk.

At my latest library game day, I brought my games in the giant rainbow IKEA tote (as per usual) because it’s just a really good size for the purpose. At the end of the day someone was explaining to a person we hadn’t seen before how this was an offshoot of the fiber arts group. Which got to talking about how it’s a very queer-friendly group. And the new person mentioned how the giant rainbow IKEA tote was a signs that they would be welcome here. Which is a good reminder that “performative”...
