  I think I might have stumbled upon why I’ve been having such a hard time emotionally. Recent bloodwork indicates my Vitamin D levels are completely in the tank. Like, the norm is 20, and I’m at 9. Time for some Vitamin D supplements, I would say. This won’t do anything regarding all the external things that are terrible, but maybe once my Vitamin D levels are up I’ll be better equipped to handle it.

  Regarding Artemis II, I admit I haven’t gotten much into it. I’m not against it or anything like that, it just hasn’t grabbed my attention. But I’m thinking about America’s relationship with space travel.   Well I suppose this is a good thing to know if I ever find myself owing $100 million in taxes. I do wonder what other methods of payments are possible?   Those of us who keep up with my personal stuff here probably remember that last month I underwent some cognitive testing because I was experiencing some short-term memory loss and other things that alarmed me and I wanted to at least rule out something like dementia.   I’m just feeling tired. Bone weary. There’s so much out there right now that’s screwed up and wrong that it’s hard to remember there’s a lot right as well. #Caturday posts help. I often wish I were a cat, I’d get all my needs met, get petted all the time, and the only thing I’d have to worry about is why is my human so late with the treats?   Mindly.social has been down, by my count, four times in the past week. This has been my home for the time I’ve been on Mastodon, and until this week I never considered changing instances.   It has been several generations since cigarette commercials appeared on TV and Radio here in the United States. An act of Congress bannned them back in 1970. But, I’m so old, I remember when they were around in proliferation. This morning, quite randomly, a memory swam up into my consciousness, dating from, as best I recall, from kindergarten days, riding the bus to school, and a bunch of us belting out Winstons taste good like a cigarette should.

  #Books #CurrentlyReading Buckeye by Patrick Ryan. Got to say, I’m totally into this book! It’s historical fiction, focusing on two families in a small Ohio town beginning around WWII and continuing into the 60s and beyond, I haven’t gotten to the end yet. It is extremely well written. There’s plenty of family drama, but it’s not overly dramatic. Don’t be surprised if it grabs you and holds on. And expect your feels to, um, feel.
