Spend half a day dealing with a blackscreen when I start our project in Unity. I git cleaned and reimported the repo three times, which takes ages. I tried several different branches and revisions. It was Unity console's "Pause on Error" and an error we've been ignoring for months now, since it was harmless.

I'm trying to install npm. This is the beginning of the install documentation. Thanks, I guess? :D

TIL about Fully Homomorphic Encryption, where you can do operations and compute on encrypted data, and the result will be correct and still encrypted. That's pretty cool. I never even considered that might be an option. Must be pretty insane math, prooving encryption is already tough, adding operations to the mix must be even worse.

I was again reminded that Finland isn't a real country, and that it's my most favorite geopolitical fact I know. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/2qjohv/comment/cn71tnd/?context=10000

We've just gotten an anouncement that our office complex is updating their "dog friendly office" rules. "Dogs are now prohibited from restrooms and showers". It's one of those rules where you can't help but wonder what the hell happened :D

At this point I'd rather have the Metaverse future than whatever we're heading towards. VR meetings are honestly fun, way better than Zoom, and virtual monitors in VR were also nice to use to get focus in a busy office, aside from hardware problems due to weight and resolution. I'd take that over AI, please.

Git hook that adds a local folder into Unity's manifest as a package, so you can have your ugly unmergable debug/test/tool code without having to explain or show it to colleagues is a great thing.

The only 1st of Aprils fools that made me laugh yesterday was someone posting a screenshot that Factorio is 50% off. Good job, you got me good.

I love how you literally have to wait for a next full moon for the new RemoveMicrosoftCopilotApp group policy to start working :D > [The policy applies under the condition that] Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Copilot are both installed; the Microsoft Copilot app wasn't installed by the user; the Microsoft Copilot app wasn't launched in the last 28 days. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/policy-csp-windowsai#removemicrosoftcopilotapp
