  Iranian government brutalizing its own people? Butwutaboutdawest. That seems like a reasonable question to ask in order to not blindly adopt national chauvinists views. Shouldn’t you put developments in context to avoid getting swept up in a propaganda push? Is this the “authoritarian apologia” you mentioned?
