  @apc Hmm…my biggest disappointment is Reign of the Seven Spellblades. I’m a bit of a sucker for magic high school stories and liked how it started off pretty strong with interesting characters and ideas. But as the episodes progressed, it just wasn’t able to develop it’s large cast of characters and would abandon storylines and ideas. Oof.   @apc Comiket draws around 300,000 visitors for each of the summer and winter events. However, it is very well organized and run to handle that many visitors. When our protagonists from the manga club decide to do a group cosplay, they run into challenges but strengthen their friendships as well as meeting other cosplayers. #animangafoundit #anime #25DimensionalSeduction

  @apc There are surprisingly a lot of video games in No Freaking Way with Renako playing with Mai and Ajisai and then a three way head-to-head battle royale between Mai, Satsuki and Renako.   My other backup for #animangafoundit was Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG is Even Sh*tt*er than Real Life! Our protagonist Hiro gets persuaded (or tricked) to purchase and play Kiwame Quest. It takes reality to the extreme with impressive graphics, NPCs behaving like real people and one can even feel the wind or taste food.   @apc It seems like when one is isekai’d, one tends to end up in a medieval fantasy world that usually has a lot of books and bookshelves.   @apc When I thought of rivals (and friends) Satsuki and Mai from There’s No Freaking Way I’ll be Your Lover! Unless came to my mind first. Mai is a model, an excellent student and is seen to be perfect. Satsuki is an excellent student as well and is also known as the school’s cool beauty. They’re childhood friends, always competing and can be downright mean to each other.   @apc So I recently started reading the manga for Akebi’s Sailor Uniform. I’m at the part where Komichi invites Erika to spend time with her and they decide to go fishing. Erika arrives early and is checking of all things, a watch. It’s there in the remaining fishing and playing in the water scenes, but very subtle. So I check out the related anime episode since I don’t remember anything about a watch. Of course it’s there with more detail and continues to be through the remaining scenes. Cloverw...

  @apc I had three great choices from one show, but I’m picking Anna’s unrequited love for Sosuke from Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines. In urging Sosuke to go after Karen before she leaves for school in England, Anna realizes the feelings she’s always had for him. They’re childhood friends and she always thought they would end up together. This really hits home as she joins the unwitting observer Kazuhiko (and eats his food) while explaining everything. #animangafoundit #anime #Makeine

  @apc My pick for hidden gems is Granbelm, featuring magical girls, mecha and fighting. It’s an anime original that didn’t get much press when it was released the summer of 2019. What really sets it apart for me is the execution. The first episode draws you in with a no holds barred fight and the second focuses on the characters (primarily our main protagonist Mangetsu) and world building.
