  An authoritarian typically keeps the military and police well-fed, or alternatively allows them to rob the plebs as they see fit. Otherwise bad things may happen to the emperor. Unfortunately, Trump is likely to kick the bucket before he sees any blowback of that.

  In hiphop a beatmaker is typically separate from the rapper. And outside hiphop, music writers and lyricists are often different people, plus covers exist (including those changing the lyrics). So him using others’ music is the least problematic thing about him. ‘Gangsta Paradise’ is considered a classic, but its entire music track and the vocal melody of the chorus are lifted from Stewie Wonder’s ‘Pastime Paradise’.

  It’s like the people complaining that in MacOS the user needs to install third-party tools (open-source ones!) to tune the GUI, and then advising each other how they use this and that tool to disable MS’ bullshit in Windows.
