Idk why you’re downvoted, reportedly ‘Young Sheldon’ is made way better. Partly because it was made without live audience.

It would help if you found something less dope-looking. This pic is like 1920s New York, but with a swastika.

So, no, it’s not anything political. It’s a cultural thing. Soviet housing either followed or was contemporary with Le Corbusier’s ideas of affordable ‘habitation units’, the now-famous cookie-cutter blocks with minimal decoration. The OOP is quite correct in calling it leftist, since the purpose was to have lots of cheap housing: the USSR had huge expansion of it during the fifties-seventies, with massive migration from rural areas to cities (following the less-neat redistribution of housing...

He nailed the look, though, I have to give him that. It’s the nineteenth century magnate look, on which cartoon villains were obviously based.

‘RISC-V is sloooow – Marcin Juszkiewicz’ Encountered this here on Lemmy a few days ago, haven’t looked into it properly. If you search for the article’s title, you should find the post and comments. To my knowledge, modern CPUs have a lot of hardware acceleration for various common algorithms, specifically regarding media. This is orthogonal to the architecture itself, and I’m not sure that risc-v platforms implemented all that stuff, seeing as it’s been developed for x86/x64 over decades.

Their ‘ö’ makes no sense whatsoever and is there for shits and giggles. Nothing about it is English. And I would hope that naming of countries has better reasoning.

Ok, at what positron is the ‘u with an umlaut’ located in the English alphabet?

Ah, of course, Canadians must show up and fight your fight for you.

I’m sure the EU will impose sanctions on the US for the actions of this administration, like they did with Russia. They wouldn’t want to appear hypocritical, after all.

Sounds like the botting was the problem, not the AI-generated tracks. He could’ve done the same with sounds of nature or some other shit like that.

This thread is getting more ridiculous by the minute. I’m working on laptops for ages now. Most apps are simply always full-screen, as they would be on any monitor below 30". I use a stand and an external keyboard at home, but nothing is keeping me from fiddling the keys on the laptop itself. My neck can thankfully swivel up and down. Once upon a time, when I got sick of northern winter, I went to Egypt and worked from there for two weeks. Did some walking around during the day, coded in...

I’ve just thought of another consequence: if the waste is always teleported out, then the muscles of the bladder and the rectum are gonna become dystrophic, while the anal sphincter forgets how to loosen. In addition, the urinary tract might dry out for want of any moisture from the bladder. Now imagine that one day your trusty crap teleporter breaks down. You’re stuck with urine and shit filling the bladder and the rectum, while both outlets are plugged from years of disuse and you don’t know...
