  I noticed that I haven't posted anything in over a week. Guess I've been in too gloomy a mood and just too lazy to spend much time outside and take any photos. I haven't left my property in two weeks, and honestly have spent way too much time on my couch. So, tomorrow is the big day: haircut scheduled, pick up a couple of prescription medications, and maybe go to the grocery store. Doesn't that sound exciting?   Bird update: The nesting box leases for the many tree swallows ended last week. They did not renew them and have seemingly moved to a better neighborhood. They will not be getting their security deposits back as they left me quite a mess to clean up. Birdbrains. Me? just buggin' out today ~

  Sharon gave me permission to take a photo of her rose bush. 🤔 There are only a few open blossoms right now, most fairly small, but the bush is loaded with buds. It should be looking nice in a couple of weeks. Soon to be #BloomScrolling

  That is some nasty looking storm clouds moving into the area. Severe thunderstorm warning posted with probable hail. The winds are starting to howl. Thankfully it's supposed to move through relatively quickly.

  Another day, another dark cloud over my head. 🫩 On the bright side: the tree shallows have returned, have picked out their favorite bluebird nesting box (plenty others for the actual bluebirds), and are dancing in the backyard skies. On the negative side: chasing away the house sparrows. I do not let that invasive species nest in those boxes. Sorry.

  Please don't think that this is what you'll actually see when trying to view this comet. Photo shared is a "composite image". Gorgeous,but it means one photo was taken of the surroundings, then a second photo was taken zooming in on the comet.   Turkeys are out enjoying the warm weather today. I counted at least 18 around my back field. 67°F (19°C). Beautiful day before a cold front and thunderstorms come through in a few hours. Happy Daylight Saving Time to those who celebrate.

  @alexpsmith I had a medical event a few years ago that put me in the hospital and rehab for a month. I was also shocked how coworkers stepped in to help. Took care of my cats, brought in my mail, brought in some of my clothes to wear at rehab, visited often, and on and on. Of course it helped that the hospital was where we all worked. They were such a blessing. I'm glad your coworkers are there for you.
