  It’s been a mercifully calmer day crisis-wise, today, although BunMum has been pretty busy. We will catch up here soon! We’ve been so humbled by so many kind hearts helping out with our buns’ medical costs, it will help us so very much!🥰 The buns are taking their meds like good little buns and Skye has 1/2 nebulizer sessions under her. Her nasal cavity is still recovering from inflammation after saliva in there from choking but she’s been resting this afternoon after her usual hoppy morning.❤️

  Good morning friends. Just going on two hours of sleep so will be quiet today while monitoring buns. Sitara is doing well and seems to be back on track.❤️ Skye choked again this morning.😩 Vet clinics are closed (long weekend). BunMum performed two of the manoeuvres in video below (several x) to save Skye’s life. She took a while to recover but she’s happy and hopping/eating now❤️. A molar burring (sedation) will hopefully help prevent future choking episodes. [Video: https://rabbit.org/health/v...

  Every night after I climb in bed I lay down with my left arm outstretched. And every night Sitara comes hopping up to me, looks at me to make sure I’m tucked in, turns around, and flops against my arm.   1/3 It’s kind of funny, we rarely get pictures of the busiest part of the day- the 90 minute countdown to bunny bedtime. That’s because it is chaos 😂…! Between the usual peaceful sleepy pictures A LOT of bunny nortiness (and great joy) happens.   It can be a tough decision when to go to bed some nights and I need a long think before deciding. I’d already visited the other rooms and walk in closet. I considered revisiting a room with a particularly tasty cardboard box, but in the end my nighttime treats were calling 🥰. -Skye 🩵 #SkyeLove BunMum: Happy News. ❤️ After the 10th nebulizer session, tonight Skye could pick out papaya from other treats and enjoy bunny cookies with more subtle tastes🥰.   Today I am conducting a Schrodinger’s bun experiment in a misty box. (Caveat: The bun in this case stays very much alive on all accounts!) -Professor Skye 🩵 #MistyWhiskers #WhiskersWednesday #SkyeLove BunMum: We tried out the nebulizer today with saline to help with her stuffiness and it worked great! We will definitely add it to the daily routine x 2 and would recommend to any pet with respiratory issues! (I used clear tape so there is no hole around the nebulizer tube, despite appearances)

  Couldn’t resist taking quick pictures with the buns and our peonies yesterday. You’re both sweeter than the sweetest peonies, our dear little girls and most esteemed Professors, and we love you both so much ❤️. #SkyeLove #SitaraLove (Obviously we were right there and only a few sniffs allowed. Both seemed quite taken by the smell.)

  Just a little note- Over the last few weeks, we identified that Skye’s lost a good portion of her sense of smell due to inflammation from dental issues. She’s on an anti-inflammatory and we’re adding nebulizing soon. It has helped us understand her lessened appetite, and is guiding us forward with ways to help her (e.g., bruising veggies for scent now!). Open your mind, monitor, look for patterns, be empathetic, try to find causalities… be relentless… it can help our beloveds so much..❤️
