Hi, Iโm Robin. New Zealander by birth, Tasmanian by choice. I retired early at 35 after a major stroke and now live quietly in Hobart with my partner Peter and our two small white fluffpups, Billy and Phryne. My days include breathwork, fasting, writing, and A Course in Miracles. AI helps me bring the Course into my daily practice. I write about ordinary life, human behaviour, AI, ageing, disability, stillness, and whatever remains after the performance ends. Peace up. Bullshit tolerance down!

I WILL NOT BE BULLIED ๐ I received a vicious reply today because I use AI. It wasn't a disagreement. Nor a criticism. It was a full-frontal personal attack! And Iโll admit it affected me more than I expected. I USE AI MAINLY BECAUSE I'M PARALYSED. Typing is physically difficult for me. I have the use of only one hand. So, tapping out a post or email with one finger is exhausting. Voice and AI help me turn my own thoughts into usable writing in a normal amount of time. THAT SHOULD NOT...

LEAVING META WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR LIFE ๐ After my posting about Meta over the past two days, one thing became very clear. A lot of people would LIKE to leave Facebook, Instagram, or both. But parts of their actual lives are all tangled up in them. So donโt make leaving a purity test. Start somewhere. Remove Facebook from your phone and use it only on your laptop, or better still, only on your desktop when you genuinely need it. STOP POSTING TO META. STOP FEEDING THE TIMELINE. Move conversa...

FACEBOOK IS TOXIC. META IS AWFUL. WHY CONTINUE FEEDING IT? ๐ Nearly everyone complains about Facebook and Meta. The algorithms are toxic. The advertising is invasive. The outrage is manufactured. CHILDREN ARE BEING HARMED. Privacy is disappearing. And then millions of people open Facebook or Instagram. Again. And again. I genuinely do not understand it. If you believe these companies are damaging children, manipulating attention, and making billions from human vulnerability, why are...

#TRUMP WAS NEVER HIDING ๐ The first time I heard #DonaldTrump was running for president, I knew what he was. Not because I am politically brilliant. Not because #Tasmania has better intelligence services. Because he was so obviously ignorant, #malicious and downright nasty. The boasting. The #cruelty. The hunger for attention. The #contempt for #truth. The constant need to dominate the room and #punish anyone who would not admire him. I had seen that #kind of man before, both in polit...

ROBIN MEETS THE #FEDIVERSE ROBIN: So #Mastodon is not the fediverse? GPT: No. Mastodon is one part of it. ROBIN: One part of what? GPT: A large network of independently run communities that can communicate with one another. ROBIN: So my Mastodon #server is one #community #GPT: Exactly. Your #account lives there. It has its own administrators, rules, #moderation #culture and general #atmosphere. ROBIN: General atmosphere? GPT: Some servers feel like #libraries. Some feel like universi...

LIFE ENOUGH Coffee in hand. Breathwork done. Rain over Hobart. Pete nearby. Dogs settled somewhere in the background. Meals on Wheels is waiting. There was a time when I might have thought this was a small life. No grand project. No public importance. No impressive busyness. Just the same ordinary movements repeated each day. But I donโt feel that now. A life does not become meaningful because it is dramatic. It becomes meaningful because it is fully inhabited. The body gets older. The wea...
