  For children yes, and when it affects others safety like with drunk driving. If an adult wants to fuck off in the woods and become an addict, thats entirely acceptable. Apparently some adults think that when we protect vulnerable people that we are taking their freedoms away.

  You don’t make a scene, you ignore them and walk past them and through the door. You don’t have to prove you own the things you bought. Pretend you don’t speak English or just are confused and keep moving. I will say though I’d probably show them the receipt instead of call the cops, but that says more about what I think the cops might do than anything else.

  Or we could focus on preventing the addiction to begin with. Great examples include making people wait until adulthood to smoke nicotine or cannabis, or to drink alcohol.

  Surely there’s always time for both the kids and parents to set aside to learn every new technology and the appropriate controls to restrict them. And when someone says it makes far more sense to just not five their kids said technology until they are older, we have people like you arguing on behalf of the technology. Aww poor little facebook, we dont want to hurt its fee-fees! Let’s just give it another chance! I’m sure we can trust it this time if we just learn how to use it right!

  Social media does cause harm. It tricks you into thinking you are socializing with those near you when you aren’t. It tricks you into thinking people are talking in good faith, similar to in person communication. Finally, social media is a huge attack vector for scams and abuse due to the anonymity and ability to connect anywhere in the world.   This post just shows how many Americans are on here. Buc-ees is shit. What other country would turn a gas station into a tourist attraction. Its sort of like a church for giant gas-guzzling child-smashing cars. Oh and dont forget to take a shit while you are there, tell your friends!

  True but thats a benefit to you, not to others. Its good at least the tool is allowing you to learn. I’m sure learning a language isn’t easy, especially the finer details.

  I’d argue that with a little bit of practice its quicker to write a comment and then revise it yourself. Fix the punctuation, grammar, misspellings, and read it through once at least. Its a useful skill to learn as well.
