  Edith Anne is fitting in pretty well with the family. She is teething and is not quite house broken yet, but she figured out how to mesh with the preexisting dogs and sleeps with us on the bed. This could have been worse.

  After having to reschedule twice, I finally got my kidney stone stent removed this afternoon. This has been the worse surgery I have had by far. I hope it’s all over finally.

  It’s a little weird to me how easily Edith slotted into the family. She just kind of belongs here. The other two took over a year to feel like more than little furry roommates.

  The state Reddit had a post talking about how awful the ticks are at the campsites in the state park system. I haven’t been camping in like five years and for some reason it never occurred to me about how bad the ticks would be. I literally pick ticks off the pugs after walking them around the house for a few minutes, why wouldn’t there be so many more in the woods when you’re outside 24 hours? So there’s one more thing that got ruined by Everything. 😭

  One thing that sucks about having been ill for a long time is that I don’t feel like cooking anything because I don’t have a lot of appetite. I have my cookbook wall and I just don’t feel like doing anything with it. 😭

  I was afraid Edith Anne would freak out about The Husband being gone a week because she seems attached to him. She’s really taking it in stride. She interests me.

  I don’t have it in me to watch all three dogs while my husband is away so the pugs are getting dropped off for a sleepover tomorrow morning. Lady Edith is pretty calm when it’s just her. Hopefully that’s the case for a couple of days.

  One of the more disappointing things about becoming an adult is finding out someone who has been famous for decades is a Nazi who eats babies and your mother responds with “Well, I don’t really care about all that, I still think he’s funny.” 😫

  I finally finished assembling this block of the month quilt. It has 196 blocks in it. I had to display it outside because it was so huge. This was the best picture I could get because I was afraid Lady Edith would pee on it because she’s mad at me for ignoring her all day for it.

  I phrased something poorly on Reddit yesterday and woke up to a bunch of notifications roasting me for being toxic because I was resentful about being forced into doing uncompensated emotional labor. 😅
