I made a test ROM for the Oeka Kids drawing tablet for Famicom based on the description at NESdev Wiki. I had someone with a tablet try it. It didn&#39;t work. The tablet&#39;s slow microcontroller requires a lot of waiting in the read routine. The MCU turned out to be so slow that reading a pen position took 67 scanlines, or one-fourth of an NTSC frame. Neither Mesen nor FCEUX modeled this slowness. It took three revisions before I had a read routine I was happy with. All for a silly...
