  This week has been accidentally relaxing. It started by my going into work on Tuesday, then being told by my boss, after I texted him cause he didn’t show, that I could work from home all week. So I haven’t gone in at all. And there has been nothing for me to do. On one hand, I am so glad that this job is going away, cause I’m tired of having jack all to do, but on the other hand, it’s a decent gig, having jack all to do and getting paid.   I spent my morning cleaning my bathroom (my wife and I have separate ones) and then sweeping/vacuuming/mopping. The house feels fresh and clean for once. Dusting will have to be another day or days. Now I’m laundering my clothes, and resting in between while the machines do their thing. A washer/dryer are modern conveniences I absolutely love, as long as they are dumb, dial driven machines and not computers with wash/dry tubs attached. Anyway. It has been a productive Friday so far.

  My Sunday hasn’t been too bad. Before the heat arose, I cut the back run of grass, threw my clothes in the laundry, and took a nap. Now I’m watching baseball and relaxing. I hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

  I’m having a very down day. It’s hotter than hell’s ice box here in north Texas (though as cool as heaven’s oven inside), and I can’t muster the umph to do anything, so here I sit. I kinda hate it.

  This is my 5,001 post on Mastodon. 🐘 I signed up in Dec 2022 uncertain what I was getting into. Since then, I’ve found an embracing community of people from all over the world. 🌍 I’ve seen more beautiful pictures than I can count 🌸 and shared some heartbreaking and some wonderful news with souls I’ve not met embodied. ❤️‍🩹 Thank you all for being you.   @HaldeCraft@mastodon.art I’m working on an academic paper about Tolkien and songs. Reading lots of good stuff about the topic. Also working on some upgrades to the craft room at home. These are not compatible pursuits, but I need both.
