  Seems like the smartphone app is entirely optional, though? You should be able to use the truck without it.   Trying to use a laptop for work at all is pretty terrible. The ergonomics are shit – either the keyboard is too high or the screen is too low, and as long as the two are connected, there’s no changing that.

  especially when that something is probably at least like 60% lithium ion battery by volume. One .22 round to the battery pack will fuck this thing up good. Lithium batteries do not like being punctured and shorted out at the same time. Worst case scenario, you’ve suddenly decreased the battery’s output enough to force the thing into shutdown. Best case scenario, the punctured battery cells go into thermal runaway and start a fire that consumes the whole thing.
