  Traveling always brings interesting comparisons. Like, America: not great on the vending machine front, utterly smoked by Japan... But a long sight better than the Netherlands But! We went on a seal watching tour, and afterwards hopped off the boat ourselves instead of standing in line for the gangplank. Skipper didn't care at all. No silly "protect human from themself/us from lawsuits" mentality

  I'm on an intercity double decker train from Den Haag to Amsterdam and the trip is about an hour long... And I realized that this is like traveling on Caltrain from San Jose to San Francisco Given 800-1000 years of history, San Mateo could develop enough distinct culture to be a household name like Leiden is 😄

  If anyone is looking for strength training in zoom classes, for the past few months I've been going to https://staceysorgencoaching.com/ She has classes at (Pacific time) 0610, 0710, and 1010. The classes are generally 5-7 middle-aged-to-old cis ladies, but she's had men and trans people of all flavors, and she's queer herself. Very welcoming and encouraging and chill. Some chatter in class about random things. Good for PT. Another "semester" is due to...
