Next week, May 25-31, is World Mask Week, an advocacy call to action launched by the organization Celebrate845. The week, which includes events, resources, and free masks, “is a way to invite those who have stopped masking to return to community care and a way for those still masking to expand and amplify their efforts.” https://www.celebrate845.com/worldmaskweek.html

Thank you SO much to everyone who helped donate to sending the @illmarks medical chArt to the protest art exhibit in Colorado! I dropped it off at the shipping place yesterday, and if I may, it looks SO good with the new gallery-acceptable framing!! I updated my ko-fi goal to reflect the (YAY LOWER!) actual shipping cost, and that anything above the goal will go to paying for my 3 unexpected GI tests/procedures. https://ko-fi.com/mircat/goal?g=44

#indigenous art grant & residency opportunity: Native Neon $10k grant and ability to explore neon as a medium for the first time at Lite Brite studio “Centered on experimentation rather than career stage” Working with neon was one of the coolest art experiences for me, and I miss access to a working neon community quite a bit! This seems like a phenomenal offering from the Walker Youngbird foundation — hope it’s as cool as it sounds. https://walkeryoungbird.org/nativeneon
