A milestone I forgot to mention. The Sun began setting yesterday. Will be still 24 hour light for a couple more weeks. #Nunavut

Thirty years ago today Janice, my first wife, passed away from Ovarian cancer. Each anniversary I toss wildflowers into a stream or river. All things flow to the sea where her ashes rest.

And who in the hell was it that decided that such a deliciously complex and delightful flavour as vanilla was to be a synonym for ordinary?

Sitting at the cabin reading Billy Collins and the last line of the third stanza of his poem Obituaries just pierced me through and through. “Who has left the shape of air walking in their place.” #Poetry

Has anyone considered the possibility that McConnell is a zombie? I mean he’s starving because he’s surrounded by Republicans and, well, brains.

Can’t believe how many empty seats there are at that Rider game. Grey Cup champions looking to stay on top of the west and a third of the seats don’t have butts in them. #CFL #CFLOM

Most of our flowering plants colonized the north Baffin after the last ice age. As the ice retreated the plants followed it north. But three of our flowers survived the ice age here and reestablished populations. They are Vaux’s Cinquefoil, Pallas Wallflower, and this beauty, Silvery Oxytrope. One of the best places to find it is at our cabin. #Nunavut #CabinLife #Wildflowers
