Any circuit heads wanna explain this to me? PRES_OUT is a digital output. /PRES' is a digital input (on the far side). Is this all just glitch prevention? And WTF are those PNP transistors doing? They're all just strapped together. Set that way to stop noise or auto-oscillation?

The first functional JCM-1 on a PCB. Input, output and stereo sound are all working. Lots of little hacks to make it work, but progress is made and my IO addressing theories are founded. I can now develop video. FUN!

She’s so pretty. 65C02, serial port for control and program loading, 6 channel stereo sound and other features that may change later. The boot chime is the same chord as the Mac startup. I love it.

OMG: someone's recreating the SpectraGen Cable Bulletin Board system thingie with web technology. NEAT. https://tvs.gcpw.art/bulletin-editor/ I'mma still finish reverse engineering the real thing, natch, but now you can play with the concept without needing to trawl eBay for an old hunk of iron!

My biggest contribution to #MARCHintosh so far: color matching. Mac 128/512/Plus is RAL 7032 Mac "Platinum" is RAL 7044 3D Filament of both is available from ColorFABB. Polar Filament has their own 7044 clone called "Retro Platinum" for much less $$. You can get paint in RAL colors, too. Enjoy!

I could have given the binary of the SpectraGen to Claude, asked it to disassemble, then write scripts to interface to it. But, I chose to learn. I asked people for help, dug in deep, & now I'm someone who understands this thing & has documented what it can do. https://github.com/jcm-1/sg3_4-reverse/tree/main

Paraphrased from a reply to another post because it's relevant: James Kirk is the Trek universe's biggest nerd. Described as a "stack of books with legs", he is the -only- person in the entirety of canon to beat Spock at chess. If that's not the textbook definition of "nerd", I'm not sure what is.
