@jnl Here, my beloved friends, we see the outlines of an unbridgeable theological divide.

@jnl Over a decade in NH — as an active participant and even a candidate — and I still didn’t think I really understood it. Enough that I’m not convinced that it’s actually possible to.

@jnl @zeblarson I gave up on perfection for Lent some years ago. I’ve since concluded that the belief in it, and desire to achieve it (and thus: ASAP; bring on the rapture) is an evil. Pretty, but an evil. I’m for improvement. And then more improvement. (Aw, fuck.) Semper reformandum, in fact

@jnl I assume that this refers to what it would take to impeach. That would be a lovely outcome. Not among the probable ones, I fear. Hero Republican isn’t a status that more than a couple of them seem capable of aspiring to.

@jnl I mean… I kinda wish I could, just for the rise. But the only time I’ve been portrayed (to my knowledge) as Jesus was when a (Utah) Mormon coworker asked if I would model for him. It was only later that I learned he was entering a church competition of images of Jesus in Gethsemane. Which was just so damned funny, I let it all go. Somewhere in Utah, I’ve added to the images of white Jesus. I apologize. And still chuckle.

@jnl Clearly they’ve learned from some of the best. Also, I read that to my spouse, who guffawed — and agreed that it sounds so much like our Teen2.

@jnl Mumbles something about *structural* issues. But yes. And I don’t even know what the referenced decision is.
