Today I started my new job and, if anyone was curious, I am now working at CD Projekt Red as a programmer in the Witcher 4 team. (Yes, I am primarily a game programmer, not a musician, though my recent activity here might have been misleading...)

My new workplace seems to have a much more reasonable approach to after hours work. Maybe I'll be more willing to publish stuff if I don't have to clear the legality of it every time.

Reminder that my latest track Moments Between The Past And The Future is up on YouTube. It's lofi hiphop inspired, but it turned out more orchestral than usual tracks in the genre. Lofi orchestral - is that even a thing? Maybe it could be. #music #lofihiphop #lofi https://youtu.be/yRk-AQnnGCc

I got myself one of those big fat 34 inch curved super panoramic displays for my new WFH setup and: - they are not that expensive, I got an Iiyama 3440x1440 180 Hz for around €320 without even shopping around and there are some for around €210 - you get used to them quickly and they are damn comfortable, in some ways better than 2 regular displays - they work great with laptops, no need to think how to connect 2 displays to one HDMI port Overall, I highly recommend it.

So like, Chopin Competition is a big thing in Poland, so I started checking out the livestream and I got hooked. It lends itself surprisingly well to live streaming. I really like the interviews with the performers, because you can see it's a bunch of young music nerds who are having their great day and I can't help but smile seeing that. Oh, and it lends itself well to listening while programming, so that's a nice bonus.

I wonder why people who use AI generated images do not colour correct the piss filter. I mean, it shouldn't be that hard? Or are the images we see on the net already colour corrected?

A very interesting video about silent era film makeup. More in depth than the usual Tiktoks on the topic that are circulating around the net. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2G_GaXpLiI
