  I have watched many of these interviews. When I moved to Daytona, feeling under duress, these were a comfort. Some of my problems are still very much with me and I still find comfort here, a secular form of public confession, more real than you will find in most religious institutions, particularly if you grew up the way I did and if you married into it as well.   I can't wait to receive my next electric bill. I accidentally left my door cracked last night in a climate exceeding 100 degrees F during the day. My living room smelled of the fresh outdoors this morning. lols. Luckily, I live in a fairly safe area. On a different but related topic, my favorite part of summer and high temps are tomatoes and watermelon.

  I have some sympathy for an adult child when a parent isn't present when needed, as in a certain president not showing up for his son's wedding. There were some times during my cancer treatment in which my needs were an inconvenience, though in public, there was a show of support. In families with certain tendencies, the pain is real. It's ok to be a Dem straight ticket voter and still have sympathy for the maga son.

  I wrote a long overdue note to my children--my son and his wife--and then promptly broke a glass measuring cup in my kitchen. lols.   For Memorial Day, this song occurred to me, for whatever reason. I saw Michael Hedges at my college which was featuring Windham Hill Artists. What a transfixing performer. In my sheltered existence, I had never seen anything like it. He wrote Woman of the World for his wedding. The album was a great source of solace to me in my young years. He eventually divorced.   I had to get my place in shape for a routine maintenance visit. Often these community wide visits are about checking on residents' apartment conditions. It's my day off so I did what I could. Just wanted to share some progress and you can see some artwork is not hung and boxes are aplenty that contain various projects. The store called me into work today which meant I would have worked 8 days straight. Nope. Lols. Watching movies, sleeping, having groceries delivered.

  This morning, I spied a gorgeous cardinal perched on a low pruned branch of a bush in front of my apartment laundry room.   Today I am having one of those country music song situations...my ex late with alimony, an injury on the job, my good computer crashed and now I type this on my janky one. I just hope it's not quadrupled by problems at the airport when our government runs out of TSA funds. I want to go see my son in 'Bama.   Is it too late for me to get up to DC for the Easter Egg Roll? On another note, so many people brought their families into the store in Easter attire and otherwise. One reason I like my job is that I have been witness to customers' lives, just as they have been witness to mine, at least as far as it's played out during my working hours. Sometimes, I feel like the store is like the tv series Cheers. For some, we really do know their names, at least the regulars. We befriend visit...
