Is it conceivable that printed books and encyclopaedias from before AI may become quite sought after and valuable as reliable sources of information in the near future?

An unintended but positive side effect of the rise of AI and LLMs is that it may accelerate the long overdue reform of research assessment. If the &quot;journals&quot; are flooded with slop academia will be forced to take DORA seriously. #ResearchAssessment #COARA

Although the second most abundant element in the universe, on Earth it only occurs trapped in rocks as a result of alpha decay of radioactive elements. Once it enters the atmosphere it is so light that it diffuses out into space and is lost. We need to conserve it as much as possible.

I do wish the media would stop talking about the cost of energy when what they really mean is the cost of fossil fuel energy. Renewables are and remain cheap.
