  I speak through cardboard these days, which I find funny because I’d call myself a writer in casual conversation before I’d call myself an artist. I made some new signs today. My shoulders get cranky if I churn out too many too fast, so I’m trying to respect my limits. Whee. I made 4 today, including one for my friend, JustKim, who specifically asked for one on national parks. Speak even if your shoulders hurt.

  So, turns out a punk rock flea market is an event I would happily endorse and attend again. People were really nice, and i got to meet a few other artists and makers who were super chill. I'd share my wares at such places - but I need to tweak some stuff slightly - less specific to parties and more generally towards the system. It was anthropologically a facinating place. I never knew the culture even really existed - which is sad for me, in a way. Teen age me could have really used it.

  I am off to explore a "Punk Rock Flea Market" for the first time today. My partner said I should bring my zines, but I'm a bit nervous. They will not be nearly as good as other zines there, and I really dislike realizing that I suck at what I'm doing.   Substack keeps going more and more fashy, so I'm hedging my bets and joining something open source (like one of my partners suggested about 10 years ago... because he is a smart lil linux nerd). I'm trying to learn the interface and such - each platform has a learning curve, so bear with me while I figure out how it all works.
