Debian 13: $ uname -r 6.12.88+deb13-amd64 $ snap debug sandbox-features|grep confinement confinement-options: classic devmode $ snap debug confinement partial $ aa-enabled Yes Ubuntu (24.04): $ uname -r 6.8.0-117-generic $ snap debug sandbox-features|grep confinement confinement-options: classic devmode strict $ snap debug confinement strict $ aa-enabled Yes What does this mean, you ask? Matrix server feature differences? (aka Which server software to choose?)
Are there ressources that help you find the right Matrix server software in 2026? There’s Conduit, continuwuity, Tuwunel and Synapse, but what are the differences between them? Which one should I choose when all I want is a homeserver that allows E2EE, federation (optional), voice calls, screen sharing, reliable mobile notifications and that ideally isn’t a ressource hog (aka what people say about Synapse)?

Is anybody running Linux on ARM laptops? (Mediatek, Qualcomm Snapdragon, etc.)
And if so, which distro and how is it?
