I was Yes in 2014, and still Yes today! Independence is about securing the levers of power needed to harness our own abundant resources and build a fairer, more sustainable society in our own way. #indyref2 #Scotland #ScottishIndependence

Protecting Scotland’s unique habitats is one of our most powerful tools for carbon reduction and biodiversity. I am committed to restoring these vital carbon sinks to secure a sustainable future for our climate and our wildlife. #scotland #forsinard #nature

We must end Scotland’s complicity in global conflict by halting all public subsidies to arms manufacturers and demanding an immediate, permanent ceasefire in Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon. Our international solidarity must be unwavering: we choose to invest in a sustainable future, not the machinery of war and destruction. https://www.oxfam.org.uk/get-involved/campaign-with-oxfam/end-uk-arms-sales-to-israel/

Spent all day yesterday in productive negotiations that delivered a better severance process for University staff and has hopefully averted planned strike action. What Higher Education really needs though is a proper funding settlement that doesn't leave Universities educating Scottish students at a loss! #scotland #education

Tomorrow is polling day! Voting for the same establishment parties will only deliver the same broken results. If you are tired of the status quo and want a genuine, principled local voice at Holyrood, you have to vote for it. Vote Independent tomorrow! #eastkilbride

Happy Polling Day! Polls are open until 10pm. If you haven't posted your postal ballot, you can hand it in at any polling station in the constituency today. Find your local station: https://wheredoivote.co.uk/ Vote Independent! #eastkilbride

I have voted! You've got about six hours left to do the same!

716 votes! ✊ A massive thank you to everyone who backed a true Independent vision for our town. Without party machinery, we put public ownership, equality, and community on the agenda. This is only the beginning. The fight for a fairer society continues. Watch this space! #eastkilbride

Finally got to Anstruther on Saturday. Between being ill at the start of the year then fighting an election, it's a very delayed start to the travel season! #fishandchips

Independence cannot just be about replicating the Westminster status quo. It is the essential democratic tool we need to build a fundamentally fairer, socialist economic system that genuinely works for all of us. Let's demand real change. On May 7, vote Independent! #eastkilbride

The system isn't broken; it's working exactly as designed—funnelling wealth upward while we struggle. Equality demands structural change. Basic needs like transport, energy, and healthcare must never be run for private profit. On 7 May, vote Kris Keane for radical equality! #eastkilbride

Our public sector workers are the true foundation of our communities. Every single role—whether in care, education, transport, or administration—is vital, yet constantly undervalued. We must fully fund our services and empower the people who keep society running! On 7 May, vote to invest in public services! #eastkilbride

Rising loneliness and the atomisation of society are hurting us. We must put community first and rebuild our civic heart! We need to protect spaces like libraries, where we can learn, share, and just exist together without having to buy a thing. On 7 May, elect a library worker to Holyrood! #eastkilbride

East Kilbride deserves better than a last-minute rebrand. I am the only actual Independent candidate on the ballot, answering only to our community. On 7 May, vote Kris for genuine integrity! #eastkilbride https://www.thenational.scot/news/26075485.reform-candidate-quits-party-days-holyrood-elections/

Major parties only look to the next election. We need the courage to look to 2050 and beyond. True stewardship means a 100% renewable future and a just transition that secures high-quality, unionised green jobs for the next generation. On 7 May, vote Kris for a long-term vision! #eastkilbride

By establishing a fully state-owned national energy company, we can harness Scotland’s massive renewable potential to lower bills for every household. Instead of funneling wealth to private shareholders, every penny of surplus will be reinvested back into our infrastructure and our communities to ensure a secure, affordable, and green future for all.

To deliver the 80,000 new homes Scotland urgently needs over the next five years, we must reject endless, car-dependent urban sprawl. Instead, we need a bold strategy that combines a new generation of carefully planned New Towns with smart, high-density infill housing built directly around our existing transport hubs and community amenities. #scotland #eastkilbride

Scotland’s NHS and social care sectors simply would not function without the immense, dedicated contributions of migrant workers. We must completely decouple workplace rights from immigration status to ensure no one is trapped in precarious, exploitative conditions simply because they fear deportation.

We cannot encourage walking, wheeling, and cycling while neglecting the essential infrastructure that makes it possible, safe, and reliable. Sustainable stewardship means prioritising the maintenance of our existing paths and underpasses. #eastkilbride #scotland

With internet shopping permanently shifting retail, the old model isn't returning. We must reimagine our town centre by repurposing empty units for local small businesses and building a publicly-owned civic hub to bring community and culture back to the heart of East Kilbride. #eastkilbride

The Scottish Youth Climate Coalition have given me a top A grade on my environmental policies! This was one of my favourite questionnaires I've had so far this campaign, I'd encourage folks everywhere to get your candidates to fill it in: https://teachthefuture.uk/action/scotland-may-elections#scores

Urban greenspaces are vital sanctuaries for our physical health and mental wellbeing. Once lost, they are gone forever. I fully support the community campaign to save Westwood Hill playing fields from being built over. Please read more and support them here: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1BTbVgyBwX/ #eastkilbride

40 years after deregulation, the private market has failed us. We must bring our buses back into direct public ownership! By taking control, we can use the profits from busy routes to restore lost community services and invest in better infrastructure, not line shareholder pockets.

My 12 years working in libraries have showed me they are vital community hubs that foster a lifelong love of reading. Closing local branches is a false economy - the long-term cost to a society that lacks readers will always far outweigh any short-term budget savings.

@spytfyre I have serious concerns about shortening attention spans and the impact that'll have on future society. Fostering a love of reading would be one of the best ways to fix that!

@spytfyre I ken "Ra" is a pure Glesga way tae say it, like when folk talk aboot "ra patter" or "ra morra". In maist written Scots ye'll usually just see "the", or whiles "e" depending on the dialect. I tend tae stick wi "the" masel to keep things simple, but that's the grand thing aboot oor language—there's room for a' the different local voices!

Two national grid records broken this week! Highest share of zero carbon sources on the grid (98.8%) on Wednesday, and highest peak solar production (15,158MW) yesterday!

Politicians shouldn't be forced to toe a party line over what's best for their community. As your Independent candidate, I don't answer to party bosses or corporate donors. My only boss is you, the people of East Kilbride. On 7 May, vote for uncompromised integrity! #eastkilbride #scotland
