Netflix's production of the All-Star Game has been one of the worst live sporting broadcasts I've ever seen. The announcers have been both boring and biased, and have been insulting players on teams other than the Phillies. And that's without getting into the ads. It's like they want me to hate it. #MLB #ASG #AllStarGame

Came across this video by Dr. Fatima on AI opposition, and the exceptionally short-sighted ways people go about doing it. It was very well done and worth watching. No, it is not a pro-AI video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y85nqc2zm7M #AI #GenerativeAI #LLM

My wife has been drinking sugar-free drink-mix fruit punch for years now. She's a big fan of sugar free drinks. I've never been able to stand them, because there's something about the taste of artificial sweeteners that has has been totally unpalatable to me. I usually drink tea (with milk and sugar) to But yesterday I decided I needed something cold and sweet, and sugar free fruit punch was what we had. Well, that and lemon juice. I thought about making lemonade, but...

He Fedi, I'm entertaining the idea of taking on some freelance data analytics work to keep me active between permanent jobs, but I haven't done very much freelance work, and that which I have done was found via friends-of-friends. Does anyone have a reliable source of need-to-know information about navigating the online freelance market these days? What I've managed to find via search has been... kind of giving off scam vibes. #FediHelp #FediHire #Jobs #DataScience

I saw a recruiter on LinkedIn talking about how they were struggling to close roles because management had diverse, idiosyncratic requirements. One of the founders auto-rejected any candidate that didn't send a follow-up thank you email after an interview. This shocked me. The kind of entitlement one has to have to *ask for help with doing tasks* and then expect to be thanked for the opportunity to just *talk* to a *subordinate* is incredible. The recruiters response to me saying so...

Well, that's enough hockey for me this season, I think. I didn't expect the Habs to win this series, but I at least hoped they'd make it to game 6, or even just lose in the 3rd. They just seem too tired and beat up to keep up with and get around this big and well-rested Canes team. I hope I'm wrong. I hope we're going back to Centre Bell for at least one more, but I won't find out until tomorrow. #GoHabsGo #HNIC
