Just back from a visit to my fav local piercer, to have my hoops put back in. Her building used to have a drive-up coffee shop, ran by a friend. It was my favorite place to go until it closed. She told me today that a Vietnamese Coffee place might be coming to to that location soon. ๐Ÿคž

Time to walk the neighborhood trail. Good to trip over tree roots rather than sidewalk cracks for a change. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

This is one crazy story ... A house owned by TikTok influencer Alicia Soto has been disturbing neighbors for weeks with parties. Here's what Soto and neighbors are saying. https://www.statesmanjournal.com/story/news/local/2026/07/18/tiktok-party-house-rocks-new-home-development-salem/90770915007/

N and I made a discovery today, as he was going through his photos. We both have taken photos of a Hummingbird Hawkmoth in our front yard, but eight years apart. Wondering if they're wintering somewhere in the yard.

We originally planted our milkweed in hopes of attracting Monarchs, even though we're not on their route. What we ended up with are endless pollinator visits. I still call it a win. And the flowers are nice, too. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

It's time again for my favorite kindergarten teacher's carrot art project where she demonstrates cutting different types of eyebrows, the angles etc for showing emotions, and then she does the same with the eyes, teeth and mouths. So thrilled when a teacher provides just enough support when creating art, without taking control away from the students.
