  I’m somehow not mad that we lost, just that it wasn’t even fucking close. I can’t look to the popular vote for comfort like in 2016, we weren’t one swing state away from victory, the American people clearly and unapologetically wanted this. And I’m just supposed to get up and continue about my day as normal like that didn’t just happen.

  Been debating posting this but uh.. If you are looking into self defense options, I am more than willing to be a resource. While I sit firmly in the “Armed Gays Don’t Get Bashed” camp, gun ownership requires more investment (both monetary and time) than the gun itself to be done responsibly.

  @ZeirosLion biggest pieces of advice I can give is make sure you have a plan for safe storage before it ever enters the house, and be prepared to spend at least as much as you spent on the gun itself on quality training, carry permits, holsters, etc.

  @SilverEagle this, very much this. I very firmly believe that armed gays don’t get bashed, but firearm ownership is also a HUGE responsibility and not something to be taken lightly. I’ve already had a couple discussions with people wanting to get protection and there is an unstoppable cutscene in that conversation “do you have a plan for safe storage? Are you mentally ready to own one? Where are you getting training? Do you know the laws in your area?”

  Spent the long weekend breaking my personal best for time in latex (was 14 hours, now 17+), and through a bit of careful planning made sure I never saw skin, including catching my reflection unhooded, for the entire duration.
