  We closed on the sale of our house yesterday. We still have occupancy until the 31st, but it is nice to have that behind us. The next big milestone is the youngest Joarling’s graduation this Friday the 22nd, followed by his party on the 24th and our move into temporary housing on the 26th.

  I have been a bit absent lately because of our move. The movers ended up taking a day longer than expected and aren’t finishing until today, and we still have not fully emptied our house, although getting close. We technically have until Sunday, but I was really hoping to be done by now. Graduation party went fine, although it rained the entire time. We fortunately had enough cover for all 200 people there, but still wasn’t ideal. Ugh. Have literally had zero gaming time for a week.

  Once we get out of the house, we get a short break before we pick up a UHaul on the 7th to load to take the middle Joarling to Boston. I think there’s not going to be much of a break until mid-July at this point.

  Well, we are successfully moved out of our house and into our short-term housing / apartment. The series of moves of the Joarling’s and eventually us begin in a week. In the meantime, there is a ton of crap that we basically just transported to the apartment that needs to be gone through.

  The middle Joarling graduated from Carnegie Mellon this past weekend, and also got an award for having the top undergraduate research project with two of us swimming teammates. Jensen Huang was the commencement speaker, and I thought he was pretty good. The Joarling seemed less convinced.

  The middle Joarling graduates from Carnegie Mellon in a week - the first in quite a series of significant personal events. Double major in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Moving to Boston after graduation with his significant other, Abie.
