  Doing some "fun" maintenance on the laser. I need to redo the thermal compound on the tube. So here's a rare view of the rear and inside of 'Log To remove the tube is just 3 lock bolts, slide it off the retainer and voilà!

  Very much in a "Why the fuck should I care about my job, when no fucker else gives a fuck about theirs or the product" kinda of mood. More parts in from stores that have been thrown around and damaged. Said parts I've been asking for for MONTHS and the paperwork attached shows they've been in stock since may. Now the new serial number plates are not to spec or drawing OR sample. By the sounds of it purchasing keep changing the requests

  So fucking /tired/ of "Just in Time" mentality! I'm sat around waiting on fucking parts whilst the bosses are pissing and moaning and trying to "manage" the process to get stuff out on the deadline /they/ set. They actively refuse to give us /all/ the parts we need to do the job. The ones that /used/ to be stored in module hall with us. Insisting that we build sub assemblies as we need them. But no. They think "throw bodies at it"...
