Decent British guy, PhD chemist, professional scientist, hobby writer, with stories published (mostly erotica), keen photographer. Co-carer of a delightfully daft dog and two beautiful horses. Pro-humanity, pro-rationalism, happily agnostic.
Very broad-minded, supportive of other's life choices, tastes, hopes and dreams. We often learn by being open to try new things.
Unenthusiastic about all forms of political stupidity and extremism.
Despair of humanity growing up in time to save ourselves.

I rather enjoy trying out new and different things from time to time. I have a sort of bucket list... Earlier this month, I ticked one item off that list - a practical workshop knapping flints! I came home with a few functional arrow heads, too. The following week, I spent a day learning how to make linocut prints, which was great fun. But the best is yet to come. I've booked my birthday treat - a one-day hands-on workshop to make my own sword with Bronze Age forging techniques!
