After about a year of working on it, my #NerdStitch cross-stitch tribute to the 1985 Amiga Deluxe Paint King Tut is done! Created from the original image, I did have to scale it down a little. The stitched version is 180x200, about 34,000 stitches.

For Transgender Day of Visibility, here’s a throwback photo of me from circa 2006, when Apple featured Mac developers in an online ad campaign for WWDC. Yes, we were around even then. There’s a pretty good chance if you played Mac games in the 90’s, one was written by me or @burgerbecky #transdayofvisibility

For the Trans Day of Remembrance, think about those who lost their lives, just for being true to themselves. Almost 24 years ago I came out to the world, to the Mac gaming community I worked in, and to friends, family and colleagues. It was the most frightening thing I had ever done. The world got easier for me to live in over the next decade. Sadly now the last few years feel increasingly dangerous. It’s a sad and scary world. #transdayofremembrance #tdor

So sorry to hear of @burgerbecky@mastodon.gamedev.place passing today. She was a colleague and friend, our careers overlapped in the 90’s and early 2000’s when we both did a lot of Mac game ports. It was always nice to see her at Macworld Expo or WWDC, even with a bit of friendly rivalry to see who could ship the most games each year 🙂. She had also lost her wife in the last couple years, and we gave each other a little mutual support as we were widowed. Rest in peace, Burger Becky.😢
