  It's funny how L2 learners can unintentionally wax poetic because they're struggling to express themselves with a much more limited vocabulary and grasp for constructions that will work but a native L2 speaker wouldn't land on because it simply wouldn't occur to them to say it in quite that way.

  Since Houston🚀Rockets 🏀 are headed to Chicago to take on the Bulls on Monday night, I think I'll wear my new black dress shirt and black Rockets tie and new Rockets socks to work. The Dallas✨ Stars play 🏒 Tuesday so I'll wear my new green dress shirt and checkered green Dallas✨Stars necktie to work that day. I have matching team lanyards to wear for the day as well for my work ID. Just a little way to be a little more expressive at work, mix things up a bit, fashion-wise.

  Got a really nice haircut today at the SportClips over by Kroger. Checked in online before I went and thankfully they were able to attend to me right away. Took a shower after watching the 🏀 game, put on a clean UH shirt and clean boxers, combed my hair. I still look pretty damn handsome, even at my age, if I do say so myself. Could still stand to lose more weight, but I still look ok in the mirror. I really should try to make more small-talk with Christina at work; if I'm ever goin...

  I'm continually amazed how I can have such vivid dreams even from like a short 20 minute nap. Slept okay but woke a few times in the night, turned over to my other side and went back to sleep.
