  Just loaded the #iOS 27 beta on my iPhone 17 and 2 things I notice right away. It feels a lot faster and the basic new Siri is already way better than the old Siri. Looking forward to eventually trying Siri AI.

  Another big #HomeAssistant update as well. matter.js is now becoming the default matter server. I've been running it for a while now and it has worked great. The switch was painless. Its been a great read as he works through all of this. It makes you think differently about how you use them.   This weekends project was vibe coding an app that converts Facebook groups into RSS feeds so I can keep up with new posts and don’t have to use the app where everything is lost. The best part is that when I join a group it automatically shows up in my rss reader and when I leave it will automatically remove it. Well worth it.

  Saw this tip on Reddit and had to share. If you use #Unraid with the AppData backup plugin set the compression to "Yes, Multicore" and it will reduce the backup time significantly with the increase in CPU of course.   I both hate and love the new #Elgato releases. The hardware has been great, but the software launch was worse than when Sonos remade their software. It crashes multiple times a day. Their subreddit is filled with upset people. Should be all hands on deck to have this fixed. Or call in Claude to figure it out.
