She's mostly trying to make the point to some of her fellow journalists who are ridiculously clay-footed and don't seem to have realised that they haven't "made themselves a nice little corner of X", they're just swimming in fascist waters now.

@Gsus4@mander.xyz @TheBat@lemmy.world the more worrying thing is how many times it has made something up that nobody has spotted because it looks normal. Proofreading spots spelling/punctuation/formatting issues. You need a deeper copyedit, not just a scan, to check the sense of something. And that won't necessarily catch factually untrue, but perfectly plausible, things.

Camera viewfinders that only track white faces because they don't recognise black ones. Soap dispensers that only dispense for white hands. Diagnosis tools that only recognise rashes on white skin.

@Xenny@lemmy.world @frongt@lemmy.zip it's definitely not good for words with any technical meaning, because it creates references to journal articles and legal precedents that sound plausible but don't exist. Ultimately it's a *very* expensive replacement for the lorem ipsum generator keyboard shortcut.
