  Thanks for the response. I phrased the original question rather poorly, but I was glad to learn a bit about the FIDE World Cup. I hope for the safety of this year’s Cadidates’ tournament.

  I phrased the question poorly, and should have clarified that I was asking if anyone that had planned to attend a match was reconsidering. Maybe I’ll edit it later, and I appreciate the response.

• Reconsidering World Cup tickets?

  Is anyone reconsidering whether it’s safe to travel to generally anywhere in the United States for the World Cup?

  Naive question, but would bit-flip also be a problem without the atmosphere to shield (some) radiation?
