@GeePawHill I understand completely. Yes, i do. It just seems especially relevant in these days we&#39;re living through where some people are testing this particular flopimization in very big and public ways with very dangerous and harmful results. Paramount is acting like a lawnmower, but that&#39;s not surprising given who is acquiring then. Their treatment of the journalists and producers at 60 Minutes is embarrassing. I already cancelled my Paramount+ subscription with the pending acquisition by Skydance Media, a company owned by the Ellisons, well known corporate lawnmowers. It raises my nerd hackles that the company that owns the Star Trek franchise is making a world that is hostile to the vision of Gene Roddenberry.

One of the amazing things about technology conferences is how incredibly global they are. Computers, despite the many challenges they create, are a great connector. I love that about computers, and it&#39;s probably why I&#39;ve stuck with them despite the (frequent) frustrations.

This has to be the most cyberpunk thing I&#39;ve seen in a while, ripped from an @bruces novel, and i just came from a conference where i heard a serious person talking seriously about lunar data centers, a core premise of Software by Rudy Rucker, the first book in the genre.
