  What deodorant is everyone using to stay ~fresh~ this summer? The Dove one I bought in Europe is not holding up too well in this heat and humidity (I find I need to reapply it if I’m out for a while). I’m looking at iherb now and a friend from the states offered to bring some back to Japan for me, but there are so many choices! I definitely want one with aluminum and nothing “natural”. Bonus points if it doesn’t stain my clothes (I wear a lot of black). Also, when did it get so expensive?? 😅

  Having issues with a wisdom tooth. Need to see a dentist (obviously). I contact them as it’s sort of urgent… Earliest appointment they had is June 1st 🙃 I took the appointment, but am looking for alternatives. I have horrible anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist because of awful experiences in the past (judgmental, mean, uncaring about my pain etc. and just all-around poor care) so I am quite picky about who I go to.

  It just feels like everything has been going wrong lately. Not in a catastrophic sense, but all these small annoyances just adding up. Just when things start to feel steady, something like my tooth acting up will happen and throw everything off again. Ugh. It’s all making me less effective at work and I also feel like a bad partner at times because I don’t think I’m doing enough at home.

  I’m tired of seeing tourists in our residential neighborhood (no hotels around, so definitely Airbnb or something similar). Maybe I am coming off a bit overly grumpy/elitist, but I have my reasons. Is this a safe space to vent? 😅

  That quake was long and dizzying, like being seasick. Had the extra added fun of being on the top floor of a tall building so… oof. More importantly, I hope everyone up north is safe and stays safe ☹️

  Friends living in Japan, what shampoo and conditioner do you recommend for someone with thin, fine hair? I used to use Kiehls shampoo but it seems the don’t make it anymore, so now seeking out a more local product.

  Uuugh having a day of hating my body terribly. My comfy H&M leggings got a hole in them. So, I went online to see if I could order them like close in size to the ones I bought in NL. I can. But of course that size is sold out. None in stores. Went to order a pair of the Ultra stretch leggings jeans from Uniqlo since I’m down to my last pair only to realize they changed their sizing?? They made things SMALLER?? So I MUST order my size online now. Those are sold out, too. ☹️

  Can anyone recommend a good real estate agent in the Tokyo area (west Tokyo ideally)? 👀 We’re hoping to find a place by the end of March/early April (I know, what a time to move back 😅). Will be staying in a temp place in the meantime!

  I always try to be nice to my fellow foreign residents, but I end up regretting it every time. Dude decided to hit on me at the conbini. Friendly conversation at first (where are you from? Are you a student?), but then he starts asking for my LINE and/or Insta. Then wouldn’t take no for an answer even after I showed my ring and said I’m engaged. Then started following me around the conbini (pretending as if he had to stock a fully stocked shelf??). Dude, I just wanted an energy drink.

  Also some little shit child called me fat at immigration today and I’m still trying not to cry about it. Coming back here has brought back my old body issues. I’ve been struggling terribly tbh. Like, I know I got fat while living in NL for various reasons, but yeah… Maybe let’s teach our children not to comment on someone’s weight??
