Hopefully see many of you at #Kollapscamp next month! I'll be both holding a workshop and giving an evening talk. From 5–9 August, people are gathering in Kuhlmühle (northern Brandenburg) to address the unfolding crises and disasters in solidarity, instead of paralysis. Loads of hands-on workshops (from first aid to crisis radio to dealing with fear), plus networking, panels, talks, cinema, a collective kitchen, concerts … all funded on a solidarity basis ✊️ https://kollapscamp.de/in...

"Anyone who tells you that taking time for joy is a distraction has no idea what they are talking about. … during the darkest days of the AIDS crisis we buried our friends in the morning, we protested in the afternoon, and we danced all night, and it was the dance that kept us in the fight because it was the dance we were fighting for." ~ Dan Savage

Ok, enrollment's open for this winter's #SurvivingTheFuture: #TheDeeperDive! Be one of fifty participants in real conversation with the likes of #NateHagens, #LeahAvene, #RachelDonald, @muellertadzio, #IsabelleFrémeaux and #MarkBoyle about how it makes sense to live through such times... Let’s be clear: none of us have neat answers to the impossible conundrums of the day. Likely there are none. And that raises some pretty important questions for those of us alive now: https://...

"There’s an atmosphere of suspended animation. The world still seems normal. ...We can’t even hear the words of the head of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde: “We are in for a real shock that is probably beyond what we can imagine at the moment.” ...We’re already in an information crisis, a democracy crisis, a worldwide populist insurgency. Now add a global economic shock - the biggest one ever, according to the International Energy Agency - into the mix." https...

If you're in England, your #NHS medical data is due to be shared with #PeterThiel's military surveillance firm #Palantir. Fyi, Palantir have already been using their access to US medical records to target people for #ICE, and #ReformUK have published their plans for ICE UK... In case you — like me — object to this in the strongest of terms, the @goodlawproject have put together this handy tool to check your local NHS Trust's position, and to say no to this. https://n...
