@billyjoebowers have you heard of this thing called religion? Some of them are desert death cults, literally! And that’s the high level answer:)

My great grandfather caught the bug of #photography sometime in the 1920s, and he infected his children with it. One of which married a girl whose mom worked at karininkų ramovė (an officer’s club of a newly formed #lithuania ‘n army) - long story short, I have thousands of photos, that I have some ideas what to do with, here’s one: it says “I depart with you in my heart Jonas Kauans 1939 09 17” I don’t think he came back…

continuing the series of old #photography this time, from my great grandfather’s collection (given to the Lithuanian archive) - these are not soldiers - these are #foresters of independent #Lithuania from 1937 Darbėnai

Old illustrations were something else - found my great grandma’s bound #sheetmusic (lots and lots of it:) - any idea what’s the best place to sell these?

Continuing the series of old #photography - couple of #photos made by my great granddad. Circa 1930, most probably from Seda, or Darbenai, unknown individuals, hence photos were not given to the #Lithuanian archive. No markings on the back either…

continuing the series of old #photography : the reverse says “To Vladas (my grandfather) At the crossroads of life, the travelers of earth's mold meet, and, tossed by heartless fate, disappear again from its arena. They vanish sometimes in the dark labyrinths of life, and sometimes into Eternity. Juozas Šilutė April 26, 1947”

@GossiTheDog @john_philip_bell @0xabad1dea but, but - I have read an article that says differently;) - and I’m already poking my llm to generate an article saying “cyber security experts (like Kevin Beaumont) are suggesting to swap people for AI’s in your corporations, because “people are the weakest link”

psssst, hey @criticalrole I’ve been following you for a bit now, since I found you round here, in the Free Cities of JohnMastadon. I was wondering could you validate - is this the real Nott the Brave’s treasure, or one of the counterfeit mass produced fakes that started popping out here and there latley? p.s. can’t wait for season 4;) was watching it as your live game;)
