  What I've consistently heard is that CEOs are all-in on genAI because investors are. It feels like they're sacrificing their small bets to improve the odds for their big bets. They're salivating over the chance of a giant payout from Anthropic or OpenAI so they're using all their other investments to induce demand for those companies.   Remember last year when libxml2 stopped giving security bug reports any special treatment because they were volunteers who weren't set up to do that? And that was even before the recent trend of LLMs helping with security reports. It's interesting to compare and contrast how that played out versus how rsync is handling it.

  I think I've made this post before, but: another missed opportunity for the Star Fox remake is building on the original SNES soundtrack. Star Fox 64's soundtrack is great but stylistically it's pretty standard movie orchestra fare. Star Fox is this wild synth-rock orchestra mashup that still feels fresh and underexplored all these years later.
