It’s Giving Tuesday, so I guess we should do a post here about Cycling Guide Foundation — we're not very good at this kind of request! 🤣 As many of you know, Cycling Guide is a free mobile app that provides the best available low-stress, cycling-friendly routes. Cycling Guide Foundation is a registered charity and the home of the app. It’s easy to make a one-time or monthly donation. And we’re now on Benevity, a corporate giving platform that some local company’s use — some...

We neglected to share this previously! Our free Cycling Guide mobile app is supported by the Halifax Climate Investment, Innovation and Impact (HCi3) Fund in Halifax. We're proud to have launched in Halifax Regional Municipality, and excited to continue to make progress with our partners at @cyclehalifax #HalifaxHS #Cycling https://www.hci3.ca/grant-recipient-profiles/cycling-guide-public-launch-for-hrm

Check it out. The link below goes to Apple, but this episode should be available wherever you get y...

In yet more community-oriented news, our Executive Director, Mark Connolly (@uxmark), did a presentation at the December @kwlug meeting. He spoke about our approach to routing, and how we use and process OpenStreetMap data. And people had some great questions, which made for a wonderful conversation. It's still fairly approachable, though, and anyone interested in the topic may learn something new! Check it out the recording 😀🚴🏼‍♀️🗺️ #OpenStreetMap https://kwlug.org/node/1464

We're excited about what we're doing in 2026. And that includes launching in Nova Scotia, Canada! We launched in Halifax Regional Municipality last summer, and we're going province-wide in 2026. To do that, we’ll need beta testers from across the province. You can sign up for our beta program using this form. Please boost for visibility 😀🚴🏼‍♀️❤️ #NovaScotia #BikeTooter https://forms.gle/ajbCgZQDmfymmtX19
