1/2 De pijn van het open internet: Grote bedrijven kunnen websites aanklagen, wetende dat ze niet zullen winnen, maar de eis zo hoog maken dat het naar de handelskamer moeten en een advocaat noodzakelijk is. It&#39;s been a while but the recording of the English version of my #LeavingBigTech talk at @tdose earlier this year is finally online! It&#39;s my first time in English and I had to shorten it in 15 min. You can notice it I fear, at one point I even made a mistake mispronouncing VPN as VPS. I felt so dumb hearing that 😬. Oh dear... The amount of people not knowing the difference between a &quot;privacy-friendly service&quot; and a &quot;hide from the cops after breaking the law&quot; service is too damn high... If anything, it showed how little data Proton had: far less than pretty much any other mail provider. They even have advise on how to prevent this entirely, but who reads documentation before pulling shit these days... I guess misrepresenting happenings to hate on @protonprivacy will never get old...
